Mint Panther

It has been a really long time ago

I'm sorry for that, 

but I went on holiday to Greece and I was really busy with school :(

In the meanwhile I didn't do a lot of nail art

Just a few swatches, which I didn't photograph 

But last friday I had time to polish my nails!

My inspiration is very low at the moment,

IDEAS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

Happily I found some inspiration on Instagram again

Het is een hele tijd geleden, sorry!

Ik ben op vakantie geweest naar Griekenland en ik had het erg 

druk met school :(

De laatste tijd heb ik ook niet zo veel nail art gedaan

Een paar simpele swatches die ik niet heb gefotografeerd

afgelopen vrijdag tijd om mijn nagels te doen!

Helaas het ik heel weinig inspiratie

INSPIRATIE IS ALTIJD WELKOM!

gelukkig vond ik wat inspiratie op Instagram, al weer

I like the color combination

I think I did this combination once before...

I've used:

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

- Kiko - Holographic 401

- LeMax colour - Black (striper)

To make the panther pattern, I've used a dotting pen and a striper

make some little stripes around the dots

and the panther pattern is ready

easy as that!

Om de stippen heen zet je een paar kleine lijnen

en het patroon is af!

Splash

A while ago I saw this nail art somewhere

I thought it was really cool, but it looks really difficult

 I found a tutorial on youtube and she explains how to make them

(start watching at 4:00)

I didn't chose the right colors,

they are too dark I think

Although it looks nice

Een tijdje geleden zag ik deze nail art 

Ik vond het er erg leuk uit zien, maar wel moeilijk

Ik vond een tutorial op youtube, waar wordt uitgelegd hoe je ze maakt

(begin met kijken bij 4:00)

Ik vind zelf dat ik niet de goede kleuren heb gekozen

ze zijn te donken samen

Maar het ziet er als nog leuk uit

I've used:

- Essence - Hazelnut Cream Pie 01

- Only You - Banana Split 113

- Catrice - Planet Tokyo 
- Kiko 238 (red)

I used hazelnut cream pie as base coat

and started with the darker colors first

After this nail art my table was one big mess

I really recommend taping your fingers, 

because the nail polish goes everywhere!

Spring is in the air

Last week I made a this cute nail art

with spring-like colors

I was inspired by a post on pinterest

I made good quality photos, but unfortunately my

sister deleted them (again) 

I luckily made photos with my mobile a few minute after lacquering

Afgelopen week had ik deze schattige nail art

met lenteachtige kleurtjes

Ik was geïnspireerd door een post op pinterest

Ik had goede foto's gemaakt, maar helaas heeft mijn

zusje die (alweer) verwijderd

Gelukkig had ik nog foto's gemaakt vlak na het lakken

I've used:

- Catrice - Berlin Big City Life C02

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

- Essence - Broadway Starlet 04 colorpigments

I started with Mint Macaroon as base coat, except my ringfinger

I used Platinum Card and Broadway Starlet for that finger 

I lacquered a diagonal line with Platinum Card over Mint Macaroon

After drying, I lacquered an other diagonal in the opposite direction with Berlin

I finished it with a top coat

This nail art is not very hard, but you can also used tape 

if you want more precise lines

Ik ben begonnen met een basis van Mint Macaroon, behalve mijn ringvinger

Die vinger heb ik met Platinum Card en Broadway Starlet gedaan

Ik lakte een diagonale lijn met Platinum Card over Mint Macaroon

Na het drogen, lakte ik in de tegengestelde richting een diagonale lijn met Berlin

Het is geen moeilijke nail art,

maar je kan ook plakband gebruiken voor preciezere lijnen

Super Sweet

It's been a while, writing on my blog

But I was very busy with school and everything

so I had little time for my nails and blog

I did lacquer my nails though

The next nail art is very sweet and cute

Actually a little too sweet and cute

I removed it after one day already

Het is een tijdje geleden dat ik op mijn blog heb geschreven

Ik was erg druk met school en van alles,

dat ik weinig tijd had voor mijn nagels en blog

Desondanks heb ik wel een paar nail arts gemaakt

De volgende nail art is erg lief en schattig

Eigenlijk een beetje té lief en schattig,

dat ik het er na één dag al af had gehaald

 *Google doesn't work very well, so my photo's are turned 90 degrees*

I've used:

- Hema 807 (light pink)

- Kiko 289 (dark pink)

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

 I wanted to make an animal nail art

but after lacquering my pink and ringfinger, I was out of ideas

I made this nail art with a nail art pen

and a little pencil

It's actually an easy nail art

I just needed some more inspiration

maar nadat ik mijn pink en ringvinger had gelakt, waren mijn ideeën op

Ik heb deze nail art gemaakt met een nail art pen (bol pen) 

en een klein penseeltje

Call it a Mondriaan

The next nail art is recognized 

so many times as a Mondriaan painting

That's why I decided to call it a Mondriaan

It's a very simple nail art but it's still a kind of cool!

Veel mensen herkende in mijn nagels

een schilderij van Piet Mondriaan

daarom noem ik ze maar Mondriaan nagels

Het is een hele simpele nail art 

maar hij is alsnog heel leuk!

I've used:

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

- Kiko 328 grey

- Kiko 238 red

- LeMax colour - black striper

I started with a base of Platinum Card

after letting it dry, I made a kind of a french manicure with 

the red polish.

I was a silver-red french manicure

I lacquered the other half of my nail grey

The made a black line on the separations between the colors

It wasn't meant to be a Mondiaan look-a-like

but I actually like it!

Ik ben begonnen met een basis van Platinum Card

Nadat ik deze heb laten drogen, 

heb ik er een soort van french manicure van gemaakt

Het was een zilver-rood french manicure

De andere helft van mijn nagel heb ik grijs gelakt

de scheidingen tussen de kleuren heb ik overgelakt

met een zwarte striper.

Het was niet mijn bedoeling om er een Mondriaan look-a-like van te maken

maar ik vind het eigenlijk best leuk!

Mix It Up

I copied this nail art from @pattycakes713 on instagram

I liked the nail art so much and it didn't look too difficult!

So I decided to just try it out

I made it a little bit different but mainly the same

Ik vond de nail art zo leuk en het zag er niet zo heel moeilijk uit

dus ik dacht: laat ik het maar gewoon proberen

Ik ben een beetje afgeweken van de instagram post 

maar het is grotendeels hetzelfde 

I've used:

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

- Kiko 203 tip painter white

- LeMax colour - Black (striper)

You have to lacquer your nails with precision

because you can make a mistake very fast 

and you have to start all over again. 

I recommend stripers instead of normal brushes or needles

you can work more precisely and the lines look tighter

I like my thumb and my ringfinger nail the most! :)

want je kan snel een fout maken

en dan moet je je nagel weer helemaal opnieuw doen

Ik verkies stripers boven normale kwastjes of naalden

Je kan nauwkeuriger werken en de lijnen zijn strakker

Ik vind mijn duim en ringvinger nagel het leukst! :)

Hippie Marble

photo fail alert! 

I made really nice picture of this nail art 

but my sister thought she could just delete them... :(

I was really pissed of because on these photo's you 

can't see how amazing the marble nail art worked out. 

This time I did a great job on marble nail art (finally)

Ik had hele mooie foto's gemaakt van de ze nail art

maar mijn zusje vond dat ze de foto's kon verwijderen... :(

Ik was erg boos, want op deze foto's kan je niet duidelijk zien

hoe goed de marble nail art uit is gepakt

Deze keer was de marble nail art eindelijk goed gelukt

These photo's are made right after polishing my nails

so there is nailpolish everywhere

Peacock Feather

The past couple of days I have celebrated carnival

and I was inspired by somebody dressed as a peacock

I decided to do a nail art containing a feather

what do you think?!

de afgelopen dag heb ik carnaval gevierd

en ik werd geïnspireerd door iemand die verkleed was als pauw

ik besloot een nail art te maken met een veer

wat vinden jullie ervan?

I've used:

Kiko - 401 (holographic)

NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

LeMax colour - Black (striper)

Catrice - Goldfinger 650

Essence - Fateful Desire 60

 I started with the base colors

On my ringfinger I wanted the feather

so make a diagonal line on this nail

on the sides of the diagonal line you draw the lines of the feather

In the beginning you press the brush harder and

on the end of the lines you press the brush softly

With a dotting pen you make a dot

in the middle of this dot you make a smaller dot 

and your peacock feather is done!

Ik ben begonnen met de basis kleuren

op mijn ringvinger wilde ik de veer maken

begin dus met een diagonale lijn over je ringvinger

aan de zijkanten van deze lijn maak je de lijnen van de veer

 Aan het begin van deze lijnen druk je het kwastje harder tegen de nagel

aan het einde druk je zachtjes

met en dotting pen maak je de stip

in het midden van de stip maak je een kleinere stip

en je peacock feather is klaar!

Fishtail Nail Art

I saw this nail art very often

I was wondering how they made it

so I decided to make one by my self

I've been busy with photoshop for an hour 

to make a tutorial, which is very handy for the nail art

I hope you can understand the tutorial

Deze nail art zag ik overal voorbij komen

 ik vroeg me af hoe ze deze maakte

dus ben ik hem zelf ook maar gaan maken

 ik ben denk ik een uur bezig geweest met photoshop

om een tutorial te maken, wat erg handig is bij deze nailart

ik hoop dat jullie hem kunnen volgen!

I've used:

NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

Catrice - Goldfinger 650

Kiko - Holographic nail lacquer 401

Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine top coat

If you mess up one stripe you don't have to remove

all your polish. You can just continue and lacquer the next stripe over 

the messed up stripe

I tried this nail art with yellow, orange and nude

That was also very nice

but I liked this one more

because I thought it looked like a mermaid

Als je een streep verknoeid 

hoef je niet al je nagellak te verwijderen

je kunt verder lakken en de volgende streep gaat over 

de verknoeide streep

Deze nail art heb ik ook met geel, oranje en nude geprobeerd

wat er ook heel leuk uit zag

maar ik vond deze leuker 

omdat ik hem op een zeemeermin vond lijken

Pink Galaxy

I really liked my Galaxy post 

so I decided to do it with other color

I chose pink and added a pearl 

I've used:

- Kiko - 289

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

- Essence - Enchanted Fairy 36

- Essence -Ultimate Pink 08

- Kiss nail art - Bikini Pink SPA15

- Catrice - Put Lavender On Agenda 770

- Primark Beauty (Neon Pink)

and my favorite top coat

- Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine

I did it the same way I did the other Galaxy post

So you have to use a make-up sponge and pat it softly on your nail

repeat this several times with different colors 

until you have the design you wanted

For the pearl you have to use a top/base coat

drip some on the place you want the pearl

then carefully push the pearl into the drop and let it dry

laquer two layers of top coat over the pearl 

and your pearl will last for a week or longer

Galaxy

For this nail design 

I was inspired by instagram again.

You really have to follow Wah! nails on instagram!

It's a galaxy nail art which is really cool

this time I don't have a tuturial 

because I wasn't familiar with this nail art

I've used:

- Essence - Hard to Resist 76

- Kiko 385 (bright blue)

- Hema 809 (white)

- NYC -Platinum Card 150

- Kiko Holographic 401

- Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat

Start with a base color, I've used Essence - Hard to Resist. 

Use a make-up sponge to pat the nail polish softly on your nail

Repeat this until you have the pattern you like

Use a dotter to make the "stars"

And finish with a top coat!

Ice creammm

Last week I was watching some tutorials on youtube

when I found a really nice one.

 I made it on my own nails 

immediately after seeing the video (click to see the video)

I've used:

- Kiko 203 (white)

- Kiko 358 (orange), thumb

- ONLY YOU - Banana Split 113,  forefinger

- Kiko 385 (blue), middle finger

- Le Max colour - no name (neon pink), ring finger

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253, pinkie

- Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine top coat

I made this nail art the exact way as in the video

Pastel Rainbow

Again I wanted to do something else

This time I chose a mani from which I don't know the name

or if it has a name, do you know it? 

I wanted to combine my pastel colors

I took lilac, green and yellow

I've used:

- Catrice - Put Lavender On Agenda 770

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

- ONLY YOU - Banana Split 113

Yellow (obviously) was my base color

I applied green and lilac with a sponge

you softly pad the sponge on your nails
I looks a little bit difficult, but it is very easy!

Take it easy

Sunday I lacquered my nails black

but on Tuesday I thought: mweeh it's boring!

So I wanted to add something simple

I took my tape an made some triangles on my nails

result: 

What I've used:

Kiko 275 (black)

NYC - Platinum Card 150

Catrice - High Shine Quick Dry top coat

The only thing you have to do 

I letting the base color dry very well

and stick the tape on the right way on your nails

That's all!

Back to school

Unfortunately my great holiday is over

The last week I spend with my friend and it was amazing!

It also was the anniversary of my blog!

1 year existence!

I made a new new art

A blog post of RRRAWR// NAILed inspired me!

For this nail art I've used

- Kiko 289 (pink)

- NYC Mint Macaroon 253

- Kiko 275 (black)

I started with a base of Mint Macaroon

After letting it dry I lacquered the pink Kiko

 till the middle of my nail over the Mint Macaroon

The line that separates the two colour, I made it black

Italia!

Hi bloggers!

I'm so happy

Tomorrow I finally go to Italy!

I've been waiting for this moment a very long time

Tomorrow evening I leave the land of rain for the always sunny Italy
It´s going to be 3 weeks full of sunbathe, cocktails, pizza, ice creams 
and of course hot italian boys!
My campsite is near Milan 
so I definitely go there 
Like last year I've planned to go to the Kiko
I'm going to buy lots of nail polishes and make-up 

but now I want to show you my new creation!

For this one I've used
NYC - Mint Macaroon 253
Essence - Blair 07

I like this colour combination 
and I think it really fits the summer!

This will be my last post in the next 3 weeks, unfortunately
I will miss you and my blog
but I won't stop lacquering my nails during my stay in Italy
After I come back I will post about my holiday

French Manicure again

I made a french manicure again

but this time a little bit different from those other times

This time I made my own colour!

This colour is a mixture from 3 other colours

I've used:

3 drops of NYC Mint Macaroon 253

1 drop of Catrice After Eight 600

1 drop of Kiko 260

For the natural base I've used Catrice Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower 020

I mixed and applied the mixture with a needle
