Spring is in the air

Last week I made a this cute nail art

with spring-like colors

I was inspired by a post on pinterest

I made good quality photos, but unfortunately my

sister deleted them (again) 

I luckily made photos with my mobile a few minute after lacquering

Afgelopen week had ik deze schattige nail art

met lenteachtige kleurtjes

Ik was geïnspireerd door een post op pinterest

Ik had goede foto's gemaakt, maar helaas heeft mijn

zusje die (alweer) verwijderd

Gelukkig had ik nog foto's gemaakt vlak na het lakken

I've used:

- Catrice - Berlin Big City Life C02

- NYC - Mint Macaroon 253

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

- Essence - Broadway Starlet 04 colorpigments

I started with Mint Macaroon as base coat, except my ringfinger

I used Platinum Card and Broadway Starlet for that finger 

I lacquered a diagonal line with Platinum Card over Mint Macaroon

After drying, I lacquered an other diagonal in the opposite direction with Berlin

I finished it with a top coat

This nail art is not very hard, but you can also used tape 

if you want more precise lines

Ik ben begonnen met een basis van Mint Macaroon, behalve mijn ringvinger

Die vinger heb ik met Platinum Card en Broadway Starlet gedaan

Ik lakte een diagonale lijn met Platinum Card over Mint Macaroon

Na het drogen, lakte ik in de tegengestelde richting een diagonale lijn met Berlin

Het is geen moeilijke nail art,

maar je kan ook plakband gebruiken voor preciezere lijnen

Pink Sunset

I found a tutorial somewhere about ombré nail art

I always try it, but it never works out very well

This time it though: Maybe this tutorial will teach me 

how to do a real ombré nail art!

I tried it and it worked out well!

I'm so proud of myself, I really love my nails at the moment!

Ik had ergens een tutorial gevonden voor ombré nail art

Ik heb het vaak geprobeerd, 

maar ombré nail art bleek nooit mooi te lukken bij mij

Deze keer dacht ik: Misschien leert deze tutorial mij hoe

ik een echte mooie ombré nail art moet maken.

Ik ben het dus gaan proberen en het is gelukt!

Ik ben stiekem best trots op mezelf, ik ben gewoon verliefd geworden op mn nagels. 

I've used:

- Kiko 289 pink

- Kiko 385 blue

- Essence pigments - Broadway Starlet 04

- Hema (white) no name

Start with a white base coat. 

Then drop some nailpolish on a paper,

the two colors near eachother. 

take a needle of a thin brush to zigzag the two colors with eachother

The colors will mix in the middle, mine turned purple. 

Then push a make-up sponge on the nailpolish

Make sure you used enough nailpolish, so the sponge can absorb enough nailpolish

Push the sponge on your white nail.

Repeat a few times for a good coverage.

Finish up with a glitter nailpolish or some pigments.

Start met een witte base coat.

Druppel wat nagellak op een papier,

druppel de twee kleuren vlak naast elkaar. 

Gebruik een naald of een dun kwastje om de kleuren met een zigzag

beweging te mengen, bij mij werd het paars in het midden.

Druk een make-up sponsje in de nagellak.

Zorg ervoor dat je genoeg nagellak hebt gebruikt, zodat het sponsje

genoeg nagellak in zich op kan nemen.

Druk het sponsje op je wit gelakte nagel.

Herhaal het een aantal keer voor een goede dekking.

Maak het af met een glitter nagellakje of pigments.

Crossed fingers

My favourite nail art is "Galaxy nail art"

I did it once with blue and with pink

I wanted to try purple this time and I added some more glitters

By adding the glitters the galaxy effect disappeared :(

It still looked nice but I wanted to add some more

so I decide to tape a cross on my finger and lacquered 

the untaped part of my nail black

Mijn favoriete nail art is "Galaxy Nail art"

Ik heb het wel eens met blauw en eens met roze gedaan

Ik wilde deze keer paars proberen met wat weer glitters

Maar toen ik de glitters toevoegde ging het galaxy effect een beetje weg

Het zag er alsnog leuk uit, maar ik wilde er iets leukers van maken

dus ik plakte een kruis op mijn nagel met plakband

en lakte de rest van mijn nagel zwart

- Etos - lila (no name)

- Kiko - 260 lila shimmer

- Essence - Vampire's Love True Love 03

- Safari - purple (no name)

- Pupa - Black N209

Princess Valentine

I made this cute pink glitter nail art

although it's not especially made for Valentine's day

it does fit on Valentine's day

Ik heb deze schattige, glitterige, roze nail art gemaakt

hij is niet heel speciaal bedacht voor Valentijn,

maar het zou natuurlijk wel kunnen!

I've used:

Essence - Enchanted Fairy 36

- Kiko 260 lila 

- Essence - Broadway Starlet 04 pigments

- Essence - Twins Glitter Topper Blair 07

I started with a base of Enchanted Fairy,

with a sponge I applied Kiko 260 so it was marble

Mixed with top coat I applied the pigments

and I finished with the glitter nailpolish to give it more glitters

Ik begon met een basis van Enchanted Fairy,

met een sponsje heb ik Kiko 260 er overheen gedaan

zodat het marble werd

Gemixed met top coat heb ik de pigments over Kiko 260 gedaan

om het af te maken heb ik de glitter nagellak van Essence gebruikt!

My First Tutorial

This weekend I made my first nail art tutorial!

I placed it on YouTube, I'm very proud of it though it isn't a very good one.

Broadway Starlet

Last saturday I bought something from the new collection of Essence:

Colour Arts

you can mix and match your own eyeshadow, lipstick and nail polish

you only need a eye base, lip base or nail base and 

pigments, which are available in different colors.

I bought Broadway Starlet 04 

I think the photo failed because in real life it looks much better

although I really like it

What I've used:

 Essence - Make a Wish nail polish

Essence - Broadway Starlet 04 pigments

Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine top coat

You start with dropping some pigments on a paper

You mix those pigments with a base/top coat

make sure it doesn't matter that there are pigments through your nail polish

After you mixed the pigments with the nail polish

you lacquer your nail equally
