School is over, the weather is terrible and my nailpolish inspiration is low

how much better could it be?

I've had a busy time last month

I had my exams so there was no time left for nailpolish

Luckily I finished my exams this week!

Although it is summer, the weather is terrible

but to keep the summer vibe I made a summer nail art

Het schooljaar is afgelopen, het weer is vreselijk en mijn nagellak inspiration ontbreekt

kan het nog beter?

Ik heb een drukke maand achter de rug

Ik had mijn schoolexamens en ik had geen tijd meer voor mijn nagels

Gelukkig ben ik nu klaar met mijn examens!

Alhoewel het zomer is, is het weer vreselijk

maar om het zomer gevoel te behouden, heb ik een zomerse nail art gemaakt

Confetti Party

A few weeks ago I've bought a new polish

It's a top coat with black and white confetti in it

it's from the brand L'oréal paris

I think it was an special edition, because I've never seen

this kind of polish from L'oréal paris

I combined it with pink and grey

It's a very nice polish with a good coverage and brush

I really recommend this polish!

Queensday

It's one big party in the Netherlands!

Yesterday I celebrated Queensnight with my friends

and today it's Queensday

The national color of the Netherlands is orange

So I though I should do something with this color!

Gisteren heb ik Koninginnenacht gevierd met mijn vriendinnen

en vandaag is het Koninginnedag met natuurlijk de kroonswissel!

Heel Nederland is oranje gekleurd 

dus mijn nagels ook!

I've used:

- Hema 809 (white)

- Kiko 358 (orange)

- pearls

I started with a white colored base

And made the ombré with a make up sponge

just like the other ombré nail art (pink sunset) I made

I have a pearl on each nail as finishing touch

Super Sweet

It's been a while, writing on my blog

But I was very busy with school and everything

so I had little time for my nails and blog

I did lacquer my nails though

The next nail art is very sweet and cute

Actually a little too sweet and cute

I removed it after one day already

Het is een tijdje geleden dat ik op mijn blog heb geschreven

Ik was erg druk met school en van alles,

dat ik weinig tijd had voor mijn nagels en blog

Desondanks heb ik wel een paar nail arts gemaakt

De volgende nail art is erg lief en schattig

Eigenlijk een beetje té lief en schattig,

dat ik het er na één dag al af had gehaald

I've used:

- Hema 807 (light pink)

- Kiko 289 (dark pink)

- NYC - Platinum Card 150

 I wanted to make an animal nail art

but after lacquering my pink and ringfinger, I was out of ideas

I made this nail art with a nail art pen

and a little pencil

It's actually an easy nail art

I just needed some more inspiration

Pink Sunset

I found a tutorial somewhere about ombré nail art

I always try it, but it never works out very well

This time it though: Maybe this tutorial will teach me 

how to do a real ombré nail art!

I tried it and it worked out well!

I'm so proud of myself, I really love my nails at the moment!

Ik had ergens een tutorial gevonden voor ombré nail art

Ik heb het vaak geprobeerd, 

maar ombré nail art bleek nooit mooi te lukken bij mij

Deze keer dacht ik: Misschien leert deze tutorial mij hoe

ik een echte mooie ombré nail art moet maken.

Ik ben het dus gaan proberen en het is gelukt!

Ik ben stiekem best trots op mezelf, ik ben gewoon verliefd geworden op mn nagels. 

I've used:

- Kiko 289 pink

- Kiko 385 blue

- Essence pigments - Broadway Starlet 04

- Hema (white) no name

Start with a white base coat. 

Then drop some nailpolish on a paper,

the two colors near eachother. 

take a needle of a thin brush to zigzag the two colors with eachother

The colors will mix in the middle, mine turned purple. 

Then push a make-up sponge on the nailpolish

Make sure you used enough nailpolish, so the sponge can absorb enough nailpolish

Push the sponge on your white nail.

Repeat a few times for a good coverage.

Finish up with a glitter nailpolish or some pigments.

Start met een witte base coat.

Druppel wat nagellak op een papier,

druppel de twee kleuren vlak naast elkaar. 

Gebruik een naald of een dun kwastje om de kleuren met een zigzag

beweging te mengen, bij mij werd het paars in het midden.

Druk een make-up sponsje in de nagellak.

Zorg ervoor dat je genoeg nagellak hebt gebruikt, zodat het sponsje

genoeg nagellak in zich op kan nemen.

Druk het sponsje op je wit gelakte nagel.

Herhaal het een aantal keer voor een goede dekking.

Maak het af met een glitter nagellakje of pigments.

Hippie Marble

I made really nice picture of this nail art 

but my sister thought she could just delete them... :(

I was really pissed of because on these photo's you 

can't see how amazing the marble nail art worked out. 

This time I did a great job on marble nail art (finally)

Ik was erg boos, want op deze foto's kan je niet duidelijk zien

Deze keer was de marble nail art eindelijk goed gelukt

Super Sweet, Cute & Pink

Last week I bought this really sweet nailpolish

It's a pink one by Hema

Hema doesn't name their nailpolishes,unfortunately

I always like it when brands give names to their products

though it's a nice nailpolish

some people said it looked like Barbie nails

Ik vind het altijd erg leuk wanneer merken

 namen geven aan hun producten

desondanks is het een leuk nagellakje

sommige mensen vonden het op Barbie nagels lijken

I tried fake nails but they fell of after 3 days...

So I just let them grow now

although it can take weeks

Different Nails

I did the nails of my friend yesterday

I never did somebody else's nails before

but it worked out very well!

I also liked it to do somebody else's nails

It's just a little bit more a challenge

I've got some stripers

In my last post I mentioned Helen's Nails

I ordered Jolly Jewels and a black striper

I thought it was time to use the black striper

I wanted to make a valentine's nail art but I failed...

So I edit my valentine's nail art into something different

In mijn laatste post heb ik het over Helen's Nails gehad

Ik had toen Jolly Jewels én een zwarte striper besteld

Ik vond dat het tijd werd dat ik deze zwarte striper zou gaan gebruiken

eerste wilde ik een Valentijns nail art maken

maar aangezien ik hierin faalde ben ik maar overgestapt op iets anders!

I've used:

- LeMax colour - black striper

- LeMax colour - pink striper

- Hema - white (no name)

I started with a white base color

then made the three black stripes with patience 

I chose a space between two black stripes 

and lacquered this space pink 

It's very easy when you use the right brushes!

Tigers (also in Dutch)

I get inspired by so many people the last time

sometimes I can't even choose which nail art I should make...

This time I decided to combine two of my favorite nail arts

Ombré + Zebra = Tiger

It turned out very well

though I couldn't use the camera of my sister,

the photo's (made with my phone) turned out pretty good!

My phone never let's me down (:

I started with a white base

I used a make-up sponge to pat the coral pink nailpolish

Make sure you don't go too far on your nail

Make it look like a overflow

let it dry and use a thin brush to make the black stripes

Ga niet te ver over je nagel

Zorg ervoor dat het op een overloop lijkt

For this nail design 

I was inspired by instagram again.

You really have to follow Wah! nails on instagram!

It's a galaxy nail art which is really cool

this time I don't have a tuturial 

because I wasn't familiar with this nail art

I've used:

- Essence - Hard to Resist 76

- Kiko 385 (bright blue)

- Hema 809 (white)

- NYC -Platinum Card 150

- Kiko Holographic 401

- Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat

Start with a base color, I've used Essence - Hard to Resist. 

Use a make-up sponge to pat the nail polish softly on your nail

Repeat this until you have the pattern you like

Use a dotter to make the "stars"

And finish with a top coat!

BANANA SPLIT

Hi Bloggers!

I'm enjoying my life at the moment

I have vacation, spend time with my friends, enjoying the sun 

and of course polishing my nails

Finally the sun is shining in the Netherlands

It took a long time but eventually the sun has appeared!

and when you think of the sun, you think of yellow and bright colours

But unfortunately I didn't have any yellow nail polish :(

So when I went shopping with my mother and sisters two days ago

I bought a yellow nail polish

I bought it at the Ici Paris

It's from a new brand, I never heard of

ONLY YOU - Banana Split 113

with matt coat

This polish covers after two layers and the brush is good

I'm really happy with the results 

This colour makes my hands look tanner and my nails look longer 

On the second photo I've used the Hema - Top coat matt

but unfortunately you can't see it very good

When I went shopping I also bought a new short

which I wanted to show you

 I bought it at the H&M for only €10,-

Pimp My Shrimp 2.0

Like I said in my previous post

I will post something with my new orange color

So I made a nailart

For this nailart I've used

Kiko 275 (black)

NYC - Platinum Card 150

Hema Top Coat Matt

I started with Pimp My Shrimp for a colorful base

then I lacquered the half of my tips in a diagonal direction

on the dividing line I made dots with Platinum Card

And I finished with a matt top coat for some special effect

Blue Monday

Yesterday, 16 Januar, it was blue monday.

It stands for the most depressive day of the year.

Last Christmas

Hi everybody,

I hope you all have had a nice Christmas 2011!

My Christmas was perfect, I was with my family and we gave each other very nice presents.

I also had a Christmas themed nailart

For this nailart I´ve used:

- Essence fateful desire 60

- Kiko 203 (white)

- Catrice It's Rambo No. 5 670

- Hema Diamond 11

- Pieces Golden Chokolate

The hardest part was the tree. I photographed the good one because 

on my other hand I totally failed. Oeps!

For the peak and the frenchmanicure on my pinkie I've used Hema Diamond 11

and for the stump I've used Pieces Golden Chokolate.

Oh damn! it's nice

Something new, something trendy, something very nice!
I've made a new nail art and I'm very happy with it :-)

 now you can love it too! The first picture shows the whole nail art the second picture I've taken because of the shining gold. It's very simple to make
I've used:
- Hema Diamond 11 (gold)
- Essence Fateful Desire 60 (red)
- Essence Hard to Resist 76 (blue)
You first make a base, any colour you want. Second step is maken a cross over the whole nail, start with the vertical stripe in the middle and end with the horizontal stripe a little bit und the middle. The third step is making a second cross but a little bit under an more left or right from the first cross.
It's a piece of cake!
